剣道 正しい学び方 (Prewar Kendo)
Pre-WWII Kendo/Gekiken manual, touches on more realistic combat techniques. Furthermore, it also touches on a variety of other weapons combination, like Kusari-gama, Juken, Naginata etc.
Below are a few shots of the manual. Please note that the actual manual is very fragile, with pages coming out. Thus if trainees want to have a look, they'll be provided with the photocopied version.

剣術 教本 (WWII Japanese Swordsmanship Manual)
During and before WWII, the Imperial Japanese Army trained in swordsmanship, as well as stress-test their techniques out in sparring (Gekiken). This manual touches on Juken more, derived from historical Japanese Sojutsu (spear fighting techniques). It also touches on Tanken (short sword, or the Bayonet), and of course the Gunto (field Katana). More interesting is that it also mentions swordsmanship on horseback.
